@Heather - Thanks for the post

We are sorry to learn about your service issues... Have you tried using the Rogers SIM in the Samsung Ace? This quick check will let you know if the Rogers network offers better service with the same device. Hope this helps!

Sadly my new Samsung Ace "Smartphone" doesn't even work in my own house! and a lot of other parts of the Aldershot Burlington,Ont. area where I live. Guess I'll be going over to Rogers which is what another member of my household has and he has great service even in the basement. Bye bye Bell.

The real problem is that Bell doesn't actually have a GSM network they only have a UMTS network (HSPA is just data on UMTS). This wouldn't be a problem if their UMTS network had been built ionizer the years like Rogers GSM network. Instead, Bell had made the decision to use WCDMA and since that's not compatible with UMTS, new users can only use the smaller, newer network. If you're on Rogers, at least when you lose UMTS, you can still use their GSM network.

Toronto, Upper Beaches. Can't make a call from my home without it dropping. That's if it has any tiny shred of a signal and lets me make the call in the first place.
