Bell Expands Its LTE Network
Bell has recently launched its super-speedy LTE network, and it’s not playing around. They are starting to aggressively expand it in more areas, so more of their customers can get the ultra-fast Internet speeds, together with their new LTE phones – the first being the Bell HTC Raider 4G LTE.
Bell has started expanding its network areas around Halifax Nova Scotia and Belleville Ontario. Halifax and Belleville join the areas of Toronto, Mississauga, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo and Guelph with access to the new LTE network.
The customers in those areas who own a LTE devices or a LTE USB pen drive from Bell, can benefit from speeds of up to 4 times faster than their already fast 4G HSPA+ network. The newly released LTE phone from Bell, the HTC Raider 4G LTE is a dual core smartphone, with a 4.5″ display with a 960×540 resolution, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, 8 MP rear camera and 1.3 MP front-camera, and it runs Android 2.3. The phone costs $600 unlocked or $150 on a 3 year contract.
Bell is expected to release several other LTE devices and tablets in the near future including the LG Optimus LTE and possibly the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE tablet.
