There are two ways to activate your Bell Mobility cellular phone.

The first, and most common, option is take your phone into your local Bell store and have a Bell rep do it for you. This is a great option if you live near a Bell store, and if you like paying the in-store programming fee (between $15 and $25)!

The second option is to actiave and program your Bell cell phone yourself. For the do-it-yourselfers you’ll love this option. The main benefits are: you don’t need to leave your home to do it, you can do it on holidays and weekends when your local Bell store is closed, and you’ll skip paying the in-store programming fees!

If you choose the second option and want to do it yourself, these quick resources will hold you by the hand and walk you through the process:

Step 1. Start here. This short article describes the basics and gives you some simple definitions.

Step 2. View the video. This is where you watch us activate a phone using the Bell.ca website.

If its Saturday and, I want to change hardware and dealer is closed , ( from ESN xxxx to ESN yyyy ) what is the process ?

  2. Cellarama Admin Says:

    @ Joe

Thanks for the question. Bell Mobility now allows it’s monthly users (not Prepaid users) to change hardware without going to a Bell store or dealer.

To change hardware (meaning to replace your existing bell cell phone with another bell phone) you’ll need to signup for a Bell.ca online account. This is free and is completed instantly once you fill out the online form.

Once you have your Bell.ca account watch our online video on how to activate the new phone. Once activated, you’ll need to program your existing phone number into the new phone, and we have programming instructions for many Bell cell phones on this page.

And that’s it… Best of all… No fee to Bell!

Please let me know if I answered your question.
